Real Businesses, Real Results

From messy books to confident decisions — here's what clarity, structure and the right support can look like for your business.

Trade & Construction

Bringing clarity to a fast-growing trade business

THE SITUATION

The client was a growing trade-based business with increasing revenue, a larger team, and more moving parts across payroll, suppliers, debtors and job costs. While the business was growing, the owner was feeling unsure about profitability, cashflow and whether the numbers in Xero could be relied on.

WHAT WE DID

We reviewed and cleaned up the bookkeeping file, reconciled key accounts, streamlined the payroll and BAS process, and implemented better monthly reporting. We also helped the client understand their numbers more clearly, including profitability, cashflow pressure points, and where the business needed tighter systems.

THE RESULT

The client gained confidence in their numbers, had clearer visibility over cashflow, and was able to make better decisions around staffing, pricing and business growth. Instead of feeling reactive, they had a clearer picture of where the business stood each month.

Professional Services

Cleaning up messy bookkeeping and restoring confidence

THE SITUATION

The client came to us after a period of inconsistent bookkeeping and uncertainty around whether their BAS, payroll and accounts were accurate. They were feeling overwhelmed and concerned that the business records did not reflect what was really happening.

WHAT WE DID

We undertook a detailed review of the Xero file, identified reconciliation issues, cleaned up historical transactions, reviewed payroll and superannuation records, and brought the accounts back to a reliable position. We also put ongoing systems in place so the client would not fall behind again.

THE RESULT

The client’s accounts were cleaned up, BAS lodgements were brought under control, and the business owner had peace of mind knowing their records were accurate and up to date. They could stop worrying about the mess and get back to focusing on the business.

Small Business Growth

Structuring for growth and asset protection

THE SITUATION

The client was operating a profitable small business but had outgrown their original structure. They were concerned about tax, risk, future growth, and whether their existing setup was still appropriate for where the business was heading.

WHAT WE DID

We reviewed the client’s current structure, business goals, family circumstances and future plans. We worked through the benefits and limitations of different structuring options, coordinated with other professional advisers where required, and helped the client implement a more suitable structure for their next stage of business.

THE RESULT

The client moved into a structure that better supported growth, tax planning and asset protection. They also had a clearer understanding of how the structure worked and how to use it properly going forward.

Retail & Hospitality

Helping a business owner understand profit, not just sales

THE SITUATION

The client had strong sales but felt like there was never enough cash left over. They were working hard, revenue was increasing, but the owner could not clearly see where the money was going or whether the business was genuinely profitable.

WHAT WE DID

We reviewed the client’s financial reports, bookkeeping, direct costs, overheads, wages and pricing. We helped the client identify profit leaks, understand their margins, and build better visibility around cashflow and business performance.

THE RESULT

The client gained a much clearer understanding of their profitability and where improvements could be made. They were able to make more informed decisions around pricing, expenses, staffing and cashflow management.

Business Transition

Supporting a business through a major transition

THE SITUATION

The client was going through a period of change, including growth, team changes, systems changes, or a shift in business direction. They needed more than basic compliance support — they needed an accounting team who could help them make sense of the numbers and navigate the next stage.

WHAT WE DID

We provided ongoing accounting, tax, bookkeeping and advisory support, including reviewing their numbers, improving systems, assisting with planning, and helping the business owner understand the financial impact of key decisions.

THE RESULT

The client had a trusted financial partner to lean on during a period of change. They were able to make decisions with more confidence and felt supported knowing their accounting, tax and bookkeeping were being managed proactively.
